5inch Software makes HDD Click

Whenever I start using the software with the screen my main Hard Drive starts to produce click sounds in a rhythmic manner, as soon as I hit stop these sounds stop. The sounds come and go when the software and the screen is running but based on my tests I do not hear these sounds at all when the software is off. Anyone facing the same issue or have solutions to that?

I have the same problem. My hard drive keeps clicking and I think it might have a lifespan issue. Is there any way to turn off the hard drive recognition feature?

It is the same for the 3.5inch software too. It is caused by the MONITOR constantly polling all HDDs for SMART status info. All older 'spinning' HDDs will click constantly. They will also not spin down into power saving mode. THIS NEEDS TO HAVE A OPTION TO BE DISABLED.

So 3.5 and 5 inch products have the same problem. I guess the other two products have the same problem, tpp. They didn't notice the sound because they were monitoring C disk (NVME).

Same problem here with an 8.8' monitor. And my problem is double because TURZX made the issue, but Lian-Li Connect V3 for the Hydroshift screen does the same. I was crazy until I detected the problem with both programs. I don't need and I don't want to check the disk, only Temps and resources from CPU, GPU and memory. A lot of money that I can't use or I'll destroy my disks.
